Club Projects
We often talk about how our volunteers are at the heart of Highcliffe Sailing Club. This is perfectly demonstrated by the amazing team that has dedicated their time, effort, and skills towards the renovations and DIY projects at the club. Their support has been instrumental in transforming our club and enhancing its functionality, aesthetics and overall atmosphere.

We cannot express enough gratitude to every volunteer who has contributed their time, skills, and energy to each of these projects. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we are all incredibly grateful for your invaluable contributions to our sailing club and community.
Galley Refurbishment - 2021
Upper Balcony - 2022

In 2022 the major works of the upstairs Balcony were completed. With its stylish glass balustrade, decking, and new outside furniture it’s a fabulous spot to take in the amazing views of the area.
Of course, no evening on the balcony would be complete without a drink to watch the sun setting over the harbour, which is why we are delighted to also have the new upstairs bar.
In 2021 the galley went through its own transformation. With the addition of new appliances, modern extractor fan, upgraded cupboards and a deep clean, the Galley is now a practical and functional space for everyone to enjoy.

Upstairs Bar - March 2024
To make the most of the new balcony space we have created a new fully functioning bar, with a beautiful bespoke bar top. We would like to thank all those who have dedicated their time to creating this incredible space, getting it ready and fully stocked. We are looking forward to a long summer using the upstairs Bar and Balcony.
Refurbishment of the Downstairs Bar - February 2024
As well as the new bar upstairs we have continued with improvements downstairs in the main bar. We have invested in upgraded fridges, a new glass washer, better shelving and cupboards for storage. The improvements have helped to organise and ensure the smooth running of a busy bar area.
New Front Door and Security System - December 2023
Bosun Shed -December 2023
This project was no small feat. It involved many volunteers from the club to roll up their sleeves and clear out piles of rubbish that had accumulated over time. Their efforts mean that we have been able to reclaim and revitalise the space and transform it into a useful space for storage, DIY projects, and repairs. The team also installed flood defences to protect the space during high tide.
The new front door project helped to elevate the appearance of the club, while also enhance the security of the building. We feel it makes a grand entrance to your club.

Gents Changing Rooms - March 2024

The most recent project to be completed is the Men's Changing Rooms. This area has undergone a remarkable transformation. Again, thanks to the dedication, hard work, and expertise of our incredible volunteers.
The project involved several trades, and skills were called upon during the renovations, much of which were taken on by members of the club. The project was expertly managed, ensuring that the project ran on time (actually ahead of schedule!) and within budget.
As a result of the hard work of all involved, our gent’s changing room has been transformed into a space that we can be proud of.
